Information about the different battery types

Note that there are factors other than battery age that can effect battery drain, such as brightness, refresh and frame rate, and display quality. With this in mind, there is a possibility that a battery could last a shorter amount of time after repair than the original battery did when it was brand new if any of these settings have been changed on your device during normal use.

'Standard Capacity' Batteries

Any battery marked as standard capacity will be rated at the same mAh rating as the original battery for that specific model. This means that after the battery is replaced, it should hold it's charge just as long as the original battery did when the device was bought new.

'Extended Capacity' Batteries

Any battery marked as extended capacity will be rated at a higher mAh rating as the original battery for that specific model. This means that after the battery is replaced, it should hold it's charge longer than the original battery did when the device was bought new.

'Connect' Batteries

For iPhone X model phones and higher, after a battery is replaced, you will start seeing an error message on your device saying "Unable to determine if your iPhone battery is a genuine apple part." This happens even if you replace the battery with another OEM parts. The downside about this is you will no longer be able to check your battery health in your settings after the original battery is replaced.

With 'Connect' labeled batteries, we basically remove the chip from the original battery that was programmed to your phone and install in on to the new battery. As long as the repair is successful, this process prevents the phone from showing that error message, as well as allowing the battery health to display properly.

This process does require the original OEM battery, so if the battery has been replaced in your device prior to us doing this repair, the repair won't work as we won't have that original chip.
